To keep your coin ring looking its best:
Proper storage and consistent cleaning will keep your coin ring beautiful and prevent tarnish.
For heavy cleaning wash gently with mild soap and water, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Never use silver dips on your silver rings. A gentle wipe with a soft jewelry cleaning cloth is usually all the cleaning needed.
Avoid harsh chemicals, hand sanitizers, lotions or prolonged exposure to water, as these can tarnish or damage the finish and even the metal surface in the case of chemicals.
Remove your ring before heavy activities, swimming, or showering to prevent scratches or discoloration.
Store your ring in an airtight bag when not in use. Your ring will have shipped in a heavy plastic bag. We recommend storing your ring in this bag when not being worn. Storing your ring this way along with proper cleaning will virtually eliminate tarnish.
For silver, copper and bronze rings, occasional polishing with a jewelry cloth will help maintain shine. Whether your coin ring has a natural finish, aged patina or powder coating, we applied a final coating of Rennaissance Wax. This coating helps to protect the finish and also protects from skin discoloration that can come from silver and copper. We recommend using Rennaissance Wax a couple of times a year or after cleaning but any wax appropriate for metal will work.
